I subscribe to the notion that less is more when it comes to interior design. My style is grounded in simplicity. “Ultimately, I believe that simple home design leads to ease of living.”

This philosophy underlies all of my projects, and it’s what attracted a couple, building a custom home in New Delhi. They wanted to create an elegant yet comfortable abode that capitalizes on its bucolic surroundings; the kitchen and adjacent family room exemplify the team’s success.

The rustic look of the interior gives a unique and soothing sensory touch. The main color of the house was turquoise. Turquoise is an amazing color for the bedroom, but you have to apply it with care. The secret is to choose a balanced hue: neither too strong nor too soft, but still soothing and visible. We have used one soothing tone of the turquoise which reminds of the calmness of the sky and the sea. It made the place feel cozier. We used the same color in the patio cum balcony and living area in continuation as it gives an energetic and vibrant vibes.

Most of the furniture is new to the house. The unique furniture in patio cum balcony area is selected from IOTA New Delhi. An existing sofa was reupholstered for the sitting area and I selected a Teak wood Dinning table and wood-framed chairs, both Customized (Studio Styleez), to create simple, soft lines with a touch of modern.
